Butterflies and Buddleia (2)

Small Tortoiseshell and Peacock feature in the second piece recording the butterflies in my garden last Saturday. If you would like to share details of a favourite butterfly habitat in Northumberland, and what might be seen there, I would very much like to hear from you.

Small Tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae)


Peacock (Inachis io)


Both together on one flower

    Beautiful photos Emma. The Peacock with its edging around the wings almost looks 3D.

    Your photographs are stunning. They have a very fascinating brightness to them. I am still coming to terms with my Nikon D80 and its exposure foibles. I will never achieve your results, but they are a good target to aim for.
