Small Tortoiseshell and Peacock feature in the second piece recording the butterflies in my garden last Saturday. If you would like to share details of a favourite butterfly habitat in Northumberland, and what might be seen there, I would very much like to hear from you.
Small Tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae) Peacock (Inachis io) Both together on one flower
Beautiful photos Emma. The Peacock with its edging around the wings almost looks 3D.
ReplyDeleteGreat Butterfly Images,top notch.
ReplyDeleteJohn.
Cracking pictures Emma. That Peacock is a stunner, really rich colours and perfect wings.
ReplyDeleteYour buddleia is producing far more intersting species than mine.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics Emma. FAB
The second photo is by far the best I have seen of a Peacock.
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are stunning. They have a very fascinating brightness to them. I am still coming to terms with my Nikon D80 and its exposure foibles. I will never achieve your results, but they are a good target to aim for.
ReplyDeleteI have to agre Emma, your pic of the Peacock is outstanding. Linda
